A tour-de-force, powerful and passionate performance to savour, in Adrian Berry's excellent script

DB Magazine (Australia)
An enthralling tale that will have you in raptures. Grippingly told, touchingly heartfelt and raw powered; 'Dye Young/Stay Pretty' is simply just brilliant.

Fringe Benefits (Australia)
A vivacious tour-de-force. Medley commands your attention effortlessly from start to finish....all the necessary elements for a hit production

The Herald (4 stars)
Adrian Berry's bright and punchy solo play recalls Julie Burchill....it packs an emotional punch. Someone get this on the radio immediately

FROM IBIZA TO THE NORFOLK BROADS
London 2000/Edinburgh Festival & tour 2002

Time Out Magazine:
CRITIC'S CHOICE
Adrian Berry's first play turns out to be that rarest of things: a fringe play which exceeds all expectations. The play stays true to its convincingly complex characters. It is equally full of perspicacity and imagination and leaves the strong impression that Berry, as writer, is one to watch.

BBC London Live
Moving and touching, it blew me away. I cried my eyes out. You forget you're in a theatre and you can't ask for much more than that.
David Benson

Three Weeks Magazine (Edinburgh Festival weekly)
The plainly fanatic director shirks no responsibility in this bleak tale of suicide, self-mutilation and family crises - all devastatingly punctuated with prime cuts of Bowie. This is a memorable show, a worthy depiction of anyone who has ever turned to their record collection in despair. ***** 5 stars

Teenage Wildlife
Berry's finest moment; he strikes right to the heart of the matter and pulls no punches.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
Trinity Theatre Kent 2004/Jacksons Lane London 2006

Time Out (top 10 Christmas shows 4 stars)
Beauty and the Beast
Adrian Berry has sprinkled just enough seasonally appropriate farce and fairy dust into the darker allusions wreathed around this coming-of-age fairy tale. He's liberal with sassy one-liners and witty repostes that makes grownups guffaw, and indulges children with some wonderfully hectic, audience-invading moments.
Ronnie Haydon

The Stage, 2004
Berry has masterminded a real gem - fresh, moving, colourful, funny and thoughtful. Beautifully directed.

The Stage 2006
Beautifully touching and fresh with dark undertones which give the production some real depth. Adrian Berry has really brought out the moving love story and given it a 21st century feel. A thoughtful and tasteful Christmas show for the more grown-up.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Trinity Theatre Kent 2005/Jacksons Lane London 2008

Evening Standard - Fiona Mountford

A restorative burst of Christmas cheer...writer-director Adrian Berry has moved Dickens' indestructible 1843 story to the present day but those partial to a good bit of Victoriana can rest assured that the beating heart of the piece is still intact and that it remains a moving fable of grace & redemption. There's a lovably warming, hand-knitted feel to the whole project. (4 stars)

The Stage
A well-adapted, creative version of the Dickens classic...true to the original, writer and director Adrian Berry has translated it well into the modern day to reveal a beautiful tale.

JACK PLEASURE
Edinburgh Festival 2001/London run & tour 2002

Metro (5 stars)
"If it sounds like a Pulp song, it looks like one too... all false glam and seedy charm. Tear jerking... perfectly judged... Berry's Jack Pleasure could easily be the final chapter in what has been a rich seam for English playwrights."

One for Review
The direction is tight and pacy, the characters are beautifully written

Edinburgh Guide
5 stars
Jack Pleasure is testament to Adrian Berry's close understanding of the play's most important underlying theme: the human condition.

Indie London
A gem, handled with intelligence and at carefully timed moments, very moving. A definite sensation.

This is London
A captivating play, creating a dark and fascinating atmosphere.

CINDERELLA
First version Trinity Theatre Kent 2006/second version Jacksons Lane London 2009

The Times
It's a bit like popping your toddler in front of CBeebies to find that Anthony Minghella has suddenly taken over writing and directing The Tweenies...

The Stage

Excellent...clever and topical, this is no cuddly Christmas story

Science is a Lie
A fun and impressive production that is perfectly pitched at children of all ages. Jam packed with bright colours, fast music and impressive stunts. Spell binding clowning routines draw gasps from the assembled crowd....exactly what you want at Christmas

Spoonfed London
Hugely entertaining, cleverly scripted and staged, this brings Cinderella to a 21st century audience. It's brilliant children's entertainment, with awe-inspiring acrobatics, stunning effects and a soundtrack that transcends generations. Its absurdity is what makes it so entertaining.

This is London
Cinderella quite literally flips the traditional rags-to-riches tale on its head, with acrobatics, magic and circus skills aplenty. Cleverly playing on modern society's obsession with reality TV, pure comedy genius...a joy to watch

UK Theatre.net
The well-loved story is given new life in this thoroughly entertaining, quirky, top quality show...a dazzling display of highly skilled circus and tumbling routines with daredevil acrobatics and cheeky characterisations that wow and delight. A heartwarming, magical treat and a real 'must-see' during the Christmas season
